Fifty waves, three HQs, and no Gunsmith bench. Defend the building, then move.

Guerrilla Mode Guide

Guerrilla is Future Soldier’s wave mode: four operators, one map, fifty attacks. You are not clearing a campaign courtyard. You are holding a building while the game throws militia, then professionals, then vehicles at the same doorway. It is the mode people queue on 2026 community weekends because a full run is a night, not a cutscene. Read this before you waste a lobby on Airstrip with four Scouts.

Campaign Gunsmith does not apply here. Fandom and the client agree: weapons drop from enemies and from the random crate that appears after a wave. Your starting kit is thin. Your finishing kit is whatever you did not die holding. Pair this page with the loadout planner for the campaign; do not try to import a suppressed ACR into Guerrilla, because the bench is closed.

Official Ubisoft matchmaking died on 25 January 2024. Four-player Guerrilla still works on 2026 PC community backends and on PS3 REBORN. How to connect is how to play online. Whether a Friday is actually populated is online servers. This page is the rules of the mode, not a DNS tutorial.

How a run is built

Secure an HQ. Defend it for ten waves. Relocate to the next HQ. Repeat until wave fifty. Recruit, Veteran, and Elite all exist; Elite is a pride run, not a first clear. Trophy and achievement text is blunt: every wave on the same map, ending on fifty. You cannot bank waves 1–30 on Office and finish 31–50 on Mansion. If you drop and the group continues, you owe that missed wave plus the rest of the climb.

Wave streaks matter. PlaystationTrophies notes the airstrike support at a nine-wave streak. Stopping to loot a side alley is how streaks die. Stopping because a Warhound rolled the street is how the HQ dies. Call the relocate early so nobody is still looting when the next spawn window opens.

Split-screen exists for two players locally. Online is the design: four people, four lanes. Solo is possible and miserable. If you insist, pick a tight map (Office) and accept that you will play cover like a coward.

The ten maps and who owns them

Steam players still argue about “maps 11–15.” There are ten Guerrilla maps. Night and day skins are not extra maps. Ownership, from the base game plus DLC plus Deluxe plus old Uplay, is:

  • Shanty Town, Office, Airstrip, Mansion — standard game. Start here.
  • Rooftops — old Uplay reward (40 points in the original shop).
  • Tramway, Drilling Ship — Deluxe Edition.
  • Arctic Base — Arctic Strike. Three HQs and sniper towers; Ubisoft sold it as one of the harder defenses.
  • Sawmill — Raven Strike. Fog, Russian countryside, fifty waves of the same patience test as Secure Dawn’s mud.
  • Village — Khyber Strike. Bus station, alleys, a gas station that wants to explode.

If the lobby host is on Village and you never bought Khyber, you bounce. Align packs on the DLC page before you align Discord clocks. A 2026 Steam guide documents community save work for legitimate owners whose Uplay rewards never migrated; this wiki will not host those saves.

Airstrip is sand and long sightlines. Office is interiors and PDWs. Mansion has courtyards that punish a Scout who never checks a window. Shanty Town is close and loud. Pick the map that matches the four people you actually have, not the one that looks pretty in a thumbnail.

What to do in a wave

One person watches the HQ door. One person owns a long lane. One person loots between waves and throws sensors. One person is allowed to chase, and only if the HQ is not already smoking. The multiplayer classes page is for adversarial MP, but Guerrilla still respects the same instincts: someone has to hold, someone has to see.

Explosives for vehicles. Do not dump Sync Shot on a Warhound the way you dump it on a patrol in Silent Talon. Sensors into rooms before you enter. Camo is for relocating between HQs, not for standing in the street on wave 40.

When a teammate goes down inside the HQ, revive before you chase a kill streak. Guerrilla scoring is survival. The tactical challenges page is campaign homework; Guerrilla’s homework is “do not get greedy.”

2026 notes

Community PC lobbies still run Guerrilla on weekends. PS3 REBORN restored trophies, so Quality Beats Quantity is farmable again if you finish fifty on one map. RPCS3 users have been seen in the same PS3 REBORN ecosystem — treat that as a bonus, not a promise. Xbox remains the maybe. If your group is mixed-platform, decide the host before you argue loadouts.

Be decent. These servers exist because a few people missed a 2012 horde mode. Team-killing a revival lobby is a weird hobby. If you cannot get a fourth, the campaign still works offline — play Nimble Guardian instead of idling in a menu.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Ghost Soldier questions.

Is Gunsmith available in Guerrilla?

No. Weapons come from drops and wave crates. Build campaign kits on the planner instead.

How many Guerrilla maps are there?

Ten. Four in the base game, the rest from Deluxe, Uplay leftovers, Arctic Strike, Raven Strike, or Khyber Strike. See DLC.

Can I split 50 waves across two maps?

No. Achievements and trophies want every wave on the same map, ending on wave 50.

Does Guerrilla work in 2026?

On community PC backends and PS3 REBORN, when the lobby is up. Follow how to play online.
